What Is the Carnivore Diet?
The carnivore diet is exactly what it sounds like: you eat only animal products. Meat, fish, eggs, and (optionally) dairy. No plants, no grains, no fruits, no vegetables, no nuts, no seeds, no processed foods. Just meat, salt, and water.
Modern food is a science experiment. Highly processed seed oils, refined carbohydrates, chemical additives, and plant foods bred for yield and shelf life, not human health. The result: skyrocketing rates of autoimmune disease, digestive disorders, metabolic syndrome, and mental health issues. The carnivore diet basically strips all of that away and asks a simple question: what happens when you eat only the foods humans evolved on?
Why Are People Doing It?
People don't end up on carnivore because they're looking for a new way to eat. They end up here because everything else failed. The stories cluster around a few categories:

Weight loss happens naturally without calorie counting because the diet is highly satiating. Higher protein also provides the building blocks to repair and rebuild your muscles and connective tissue.
How Do I Get Started?
The starting template is simple:
Muscle meat + fat, salt, water. That's it. Eat fatty cuts of meat - ribeye, 80/20 ground beef, lamb chops, pork belly. Add salt to taste. Drink water when thirsty. Don't count calories. Eat until full.
For the first few weeks, don't worry about organ meats, dairy, or any of the advanced protocols. Just meat, salt, water. Get adapted first.
Practical tips for the first week:
Buy cheaper cuts of meat if budget is a concern - chuck roast, oxtail, ground beef, chicken thighs with skin. Cook in animal fats (tallow, butter, lard), not seed oils.
